A kept promise…

My first post.. Yay!

Okay, I know it says mother in running heels, but I’m not a mom. Well, not yet anyway.. I will be in a month or 2. So for now, I will be posting about an equally important role. Being a wife.

I just became one last October 21, 2015. It was a simple and intimate civil wedding and it was perfect…

Let me start our story 3 years ago… Don’t worry, I won’t write in details the 1,095 days we’ve been together. Or will I? bwahaha (evil laugh)

Okay, so 3 years ago, I said “yes” to this amazing guy who I used to see only once a year (during our friend’s birthday). We never really got together since we were both in relationships with other people. We met again (yup, during our friend’s birthday) and lo and behold, we were both single after 5 years since we first met.
So yeah, I said yes and that was the start of a stress- free relationship. Stress- free because with him, I’m me. No pretenses.

Anyway, a month in the relationship, he gave me his first and only letter..
What struck me reading it again before our wedding was the the Post Script..

It says:

P.S You will marry me 3 years from now.

That was only a month into the relationship.

ps

You know what? He did. He actually did.

How did he know back then that I will be his wife? That I will be taking his last name? A month in the relationship? No one is crazy enough to tell the girl he will marry her, right? Okay, maybe except him.

It wasn’t even the original plan since we planned to get married next year.

It was then that I realized the power of declaration. The power of claiming from the universe what you want. Until now, I’m still in awe.. Still amazed of what happened and how the universe conspired to make it happen.

We may not have the elegant church wedding that I wanted (Not yet. See you in 2-3 years 🙂 ) but saying our vows while tears fell down our cheeks, I knew we meant every word. And we mean to keep every word of those vows.

So now, I’m a wife. Still learning the ropes, but enjoying every bit of it!
His kept promise…. The best wedding gift I received..
